Managed PostgreSQL in Singapore

Add a PostgreSQL database to your app in one click. Roar AI sets it up next to your app and connects the two for you. Both run in Singapore.

Managed vs self-managed

Managed PostgreSQL compared with running your own

Creating a database is quick. Connecting, backing up and updating it is where most of the work is.

Security and monitoring

Private by default, with health monitoring

Each database belongs to one app, is never shared and cannot be reached from the internet.

01

Only your app connects

The database cannot be reached from the internet. You see your data in the console, where your login protects it.

02

Health monitoring

A health view shows how busy the database is, how quickly it answers and whether anything has gone wrong.

03

Storage for AI search

It can store what AI search needs, right next to the rest of your app’s data.

Questions about databases

Where is my database in Singapore stored?

In Singapore, on the same Roar AI infrastructure as your app. The off-site backup copies are kept separately from that server.

What kind of database is it?

Roar AI runs PostgreSQL 16, one of the most widely used databases, with the pgvector extension installed for AI search.

How does my app connect to it?

Roar AI adds DATABASE_URL to your app’s settings on its next deploy. Laravel apps also get DB_CONNECTION and DB_URL, and anything you have set yourself is never overwritten. A Django app should read DATABASE_URL in its settings.

Can I connect from my laptop or a reporting tool?

No. The database cannot be reached from the internet. Use the table browser and SQL editor in the Roar AI console, or let an AI assistant read it through the Roar AI MCP server.

Is a database available in every region?

Databases are available in Bangalore, Singapore and Colombo. Apps in Sydney can connect a database you already have, and managed databases are coming there.

What happens when my app needs new tables?

For apps built with Prisma, Drizzle, Alembic, Django, Rails or Laravel, Roar AI runs your migrations before each new version goes live. You can turn this off, or run them yourself from the console.

What happens to my data when I delete the app?

The database is removed with the app. Its off-site backups are kept for ninety days and then deleted.
