Calling the Claude API
The Roar AI gateway speaks the OpenAI API format. Point the OpenAI SDK at Roar AI and name a Claude model; moving to another provider’s model later is a change to the model name. Requests use the OpenAI chat format rather than Anthropic’s Messages API, so code written for the Anthropic SDK needs its client swapped for the OpenAI one.
