Questions about n8n hosting
Is this the real n8n?
Yes, the official release, tested before it reaches you. n8n is made by n8n GmbH; Roar AI hosts it and is not affiliated with them.
Do I need to know Docker or servers?
No. You launch n8n from the console, and Roar AI sets up the server, database, encryption key and HTTPS.
Where does my data live?
In Singapore, in a database beside n8n. An AI step’s data goes only to the model you chose for it.
How much does it cost to run?
About S$19 a month for a lightly used n8n and its database. Each extra GB of memory adds about S$26. Runs are never counted.
How is this different from n8n Cloud?
n8n Cloud prices by workflow runs. Roar AI prices by what your n8n uses, with no run limit, your own database and every AI model built in.
Do Code steps work?
JavaScript Code steps work. Python Code steps do not.
Are there limits on webhooks?
A webhook that waits for its workflow has about 2 minutes to reply. Answer straight away, and the workflow can run longer.
What happens when n8n is updated?
It is offline for about 20 to 30 seconds. The old version stops first, so schedules never run twice.
Can I bring my existing n8n across?
Yes. Add your old encryption key to the app’s variables, then bring your workflows across. Saved credentials keep working.
Do I have to use the AI Gateway?
No. Use it when you want; n8n can still call any other service.
