That is the right design for breadth and the wrong one for consistency: the same model can accept a setting on one call and reject it on the next, because a different provider served it. We choose one route per model and hold it, with the rest kept as failover.
The rate is published and it holds
Our rate for a listed model is stored against that model. When a provider raises theirs, it costs us margin rather than reaching your invoice mid-month.
