Our hosting: Open WebUI and its database, from the memory they used on our servers, October 2026. Your server: rent for a 2 to 4 GB server only; storage and backups are extra work or extra cost. ChatGPT Business and server prices are in US dollars. Prices are our published US dollar rates converted at A$1.47 to the dollar, our rate for October — the same rate your card is charged.

Sydney has no managed databases yet, so Open WebUI and its database run in Singapore. Your other apps can run in Sydney.

What is Open WebUI?
A free chat app that looks and works like ChatGPT. Your team uses it in the browser to ask questions, upload documents and talk to AI models. It runs on your own server rather than on someone else’s.
Is this the real Open WebUI?
Yes, the official release, run unmodified and tested before it reaches you. Open WebUI is made by Open WebUI Inc.; Roar AI hosts it and is not affiliated with them.
Do I need to know Docker or servers?
No. You launch Open WebUI from the console, and Roar AI sets up the server, database, file storage and model connections.
Where are chats and files kept?
In Singapore for now, because Sydney has no managed databases yet. A message goes only to the model you chose for that chat.
How much does it cost?
Hosting is about A$21 a month for Open WebUI and its database, from the memory they use. Chats are billed per model at the published rate. There are no per-person fees.
How is this different from ChatGPT Business?
ChatGPT Business charges US$25 a person a month for OpenAI’s models. Roar AI charges for hosting and the chats your team sends, on any model we serve, with no seat fees.
How do people join?
The first account you create becomes the admin. Everyone else signs up and waits for the admin to approve them, or the admin adds them directly.
Can I generate images?
Yes, once the admin turns it on in its admin settings, under Images. It is already pointed at Roar AI.
Can I put our own name and logo on it?
No. We run Open WebUI unmodified, so it keeps its own name and logo, as its license requires for teams of more than 50 people.
